Rudolph Nails

Its time to bring out the Christmas nails :)

Here is my first design for December.

You can paint your nails any color to begin with, I chose green :)

Take your brown reindeer color and make a head by just making a line with the brush.

Next make little ears, you will need a small brush to do this.











Then with a dark brown (I took my reindeer brown color and added black and mixed it on a note card) and make little antlers with a thin brush. If you have a brown striper then you could use that instead.

Make two large white dots for the eyes.

Then with a smaller dotting tool make the little black dots for the pupils.

Lastly, make the red nose :) And there you have it, Rudolph nails :)

Polar Bear Nails

I was in the mood to do something WINTERY, and I came up with this :)

First I painted my nails a silver, but you can do any color you would like.

OPI- Birthday Babe

Next, just with the normal brush in the polish, I took my white and made what will be the head by starting 2/3 of the way up the nail and then going down.

Then I took my dotting tool and made little dots for the ears and I outlined the head with a black striper. 

Then I used my dotting tool and created two black dots for the eyes.

Then I added a smaller white dot to finish the eyes off. 

Then with my black striper I made a little rounded triangle for the nose and made the mouth. I also added two pink dots at the end of the smile to make the cheeks. 

Lastly, I added a dot in each ear, and there you have it, Polar Bear nails :)

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted in a REALLY long time. I've been super busy with school and just haven't had the chance to paint my nails :( BUT, I plan to do something coming up pretty soon :)

Route 66 Nails

I thought this was a pretty cute idea. It made me think of going on road trips and all. :)

Its So Easy Nails Contest

I just found out about this Its So Easy Nails contest and I am going to enter, today i'm spending my day painting my nails and either tomorrow or later today i'll post up my ideas and YOU can help me decide which one is best.

Its a Summer Themed nail contest and its over on JULY 31st. So I don't have very much time.

Spiderman Nails

Another request from a friend :) Enjoy :)

The spider wasn't really working out too well for me, but oh well! :)

Pac-Man Nails

This was actually a request from one of my friends but I actually quite enjoyed this one :)

The first thing you will need to do is take a thin brush and create the shape of a pac-man ghost. You can do this in any color.

Next you will just create lines to create the paths that you would see in the game, it doesn't really matter which way you do them or anything like that.

I did this with a silver striper, normally it would be blue but I don't own one :)



Then you will use a dotting tool and create a circle for pac-man and then the little dots. I had to do this in white first because my yellow doesn't show up well on black.

Next I filled in all the dots with yellow and then I made the pac-man mouth with a black striper.

And lastly for the eyes of the pac-man ghost use a dotting tool and make white dots, they should be pretty close to each other. Then you use the dotting tool to create a little black dot in the corner of each eye.








And there you have it :)

4th of July Nails (1)

As we all know, the 4th of July is TOMORROW.

The first thing I did was I made an outline of the little spark with my silver striper.

Next I took a thin paint brush from Michael's and filled in the upper half with a navy blue.

Lastly I filled in the bottom half with a red. After the nail polish dries, you can take your silver nail striper and thicken the dividing line between the red and navy blue.

For the rest of my nails I used my silver striper to make a '4'.

Harry Potter Nails

My friend is ADDICTED to Harry Potter. I just happened to be coming to her house last night and I told her I would paint her nails, she wanted Harry Potter themed of course :)

Finding Nemo Nails

I was sitting in my room wondering what I would paint on my nails next, and then it hit me. FINDING  NEMO <3

1. Make a wavy line in dark blue.
2. Once it dries take your white and paint the underside of the stingray.
3. Using the same white, make little dots on the dark blue.
4. Make a little half circle for the mouth.
5. Make little eyes with a dotting tool.

Marlin
1. Create an outline of his body with orange and fill it in.
2. Make 2 white dots for eyes, and make two white stripes.
3. Outline Marlin's fins, stripes and tail with black.
4. Make a smaller dot with orange in the white dots you made for eyes.
5. Make an even smaller dot with black inside of the orange dot.

Dory
1. Create and outline of her body with blue and fill it in.
2. Use yellow to make the tail and the fin.
3. Outline the yellow parts with black.
4. Make two white dots for eyes.
5. Make a smaller black dot inside the white dot to complete the eyes.

Peach
1. Create seaweed with a green striper.
2. Make a pink star.
3. Use a lighter pink and make small dots on the star.
4. With black, create two eyes and a little mouth.

'Mine' Birds
1. Take your white and use the regular brush and just make a diagonal line as shown in the picture.
2. Use a brush or dotting tool to create a little beak in a yellow/orange.
3. Make two little black dots for eyes with a dotting tool.

Nemo
Follow the same instructions as Marlin, except make the left left smaller than the other.

Pearl
1. Outline her body in a shimmery pink and fill it in. (Don't forget her little ear thingies)
2. Create two white dots, and another blue dot inside of that dot, then a black dot on the blue.
3. Make a little smile in a shade darker than the body.

Squirt
1. Use a light green to create the head, and the front legs.
2. With a brown, make the shell.
3. Using the green make the back leg.
4. Make two overly large white dots for eyes, then put black dots in the middle.
5. Add brown spots to the top of the head and to the legs.




My pinkies just had Sheldon (the sea horse) and Dory's Squishy. Sheldon didn't turn out very well... But for Squishy, just make a little oval with a line coming down.

Leopard Print Nails

For my nails this week, I decided to do Leopard Print. :) This was the first time I have ever done it.

HOW TO:

The first thing I did was I painted my nails with the colors I wanted.

OPI - Suzi Takes the Wheel (Grey)

OPI - Fly (Blue)

Next I created random spots on my nails with my dotter tool.

Lastly I outlined the spots with black. For this part it doesn't need to be exact, but you leave a little open space so that you pretty much create a 'C' shape over the spots.

Month of March

I haven't had time to to tutorials, but I still have been doing my nails :)

I went to an 80's themed dance. I surely couldn't go without doing my nails along with the theme :)

PIKACHU! This was fun, but I smudged them really bad right after I did them :/




















AND LASTLY. Mockingjay nails :) I did this for The Hunger Games movie coming out. (Yes I have read the book). This had to have been my favorite :)

"Despicable Me" Minion Nails

I was asked to do the Minions from "Despicable Me." Here's what I ended up with :)

HOW TO:

First I painted my nails yellow. I knew that I bought yellow nail polish for a good reason :)

OPI - Need Sunglasses?

Next I used a detailer brush. You can buy them at nail places, OR you can just go to Michael's like me and buy a thin brush :)















With that brush I took some blue and painted the overalls.



OPI - Ogre The Top Blue

Now I used my Orly brush, its very thin as you can see and I LOVE THESE THINGS. I use them so much! I used it to paint a black line above the overalls for the glasses strap. I don't have a picture of what the lines look like though, because I forgot :)














Then I used my dotter tool and did two large grey dots to make the goggles.

Then I created two slightly smaller white dots inside the grey dots.

Now here's the fun part. You add black circles to the white circles to finish off the eyes. Then you use the dotter to create the buttons on the overalls. But the best part is, is that you can create your own original faces and hair. This is what gives them personality. :)
